VAL
Virtual OTA Validation — Validate software updates on simulated devices before deploying them to real hardware.
tQCS works with LG Electronics to deliver LG VAL to customers, supporting the evaluation, integration, and application of virtual OTA validation within the customer’s development environment. LG develops the validation platform; tQCS supports the customer-facing work — assessing fit, integrating the solution with the customer’s systems and OTA environment, and providing ongoing technical support.
Where It Has Been Used
Home Appliance
LMOS (LUPA Modem OTA Simulator)
LMOS is a software stand-in for the real appliance; OTA and SOTA flows can be tested without any hardware. An AI assistant generates the test cases from the customer's own specifications, then creates the input files, runs the simulator, and judges pass or fail for each step. Cases combine normal flows with real device failure states such as update in progress, storage full, device busy, and platform initializing.
Automobile
VEOS (Vehicle External OTA Simulator)
VEOS is a virtual ECU endpoint; UDS-over-DoIP diagnostics can run without a real ECU. Test cases are built from the customer's own specification and cover session control, error handling, timing, addressing, mode, and integration. When a test fails, the AI analyzes the cause and proposes a fix, for example, spotting that the request succeeded but the ECU's timing values differed from what was expected.
